After being asked that very question dozens of times, you begin to ask yourself how DO you define this site and its heritage as well as the future of it? There were many reasons why JTuned.com was arguably one of the most trafficked corners on the web. But how do you offer an acceptable definition within the strict time constraints of the question givers’ short attention span? You only have a few milliseconds before they begin losing interest or becoming frustrated with your “lack of vision for your own product.”

Over the many days and nights at races, shows, conventions, or all-nighters at the shop, you begin to absorb individual takes on what JTuned is and what it means to to the individuals discussing it. Before long, you begin to realize something. JTuned, the site itself, isn’t what is or was important. It’s the culture that it breeds. It has always been a middle ground for the automotive purists, most talented photographers, and the industry insiders themselves to converge and discuss, collaborate, and create new directions of style and function in the automotive industry.
